The Welsh international, who joined on loan from Plymouth on Friday, opened the scoring after latching onto Lewis Grabban's pass and sliding the ball past Phil Smith.
Jack Smith dragged Town level when his 47th-minute cross deceived Lions keeper David Forde and bounced in, although Billy Paynter might have made minimal contact.
But Grabban restored the visitors' lead on 74 minutes when Tony Craig's header came back off the bar for the striker to hammer the ball into the roof of the net and secure a fifth straight win.
However, Easter spoiled his day with a needless foul on defender Smith in injury time to earn a deserved red card.
