The Terriers maintained their encouraging pre-season form thanks to two first-half goals from Lionel Ainsworth and efforts in the second period from Lee Novak and Jack Hunt.

Lee Clark's side, who went down 1-0 to his former club Newcastle at the Galpharm Stadium on Tuesday, have won five, drawn one and lost one of their seven friendlies, with four more remaining before kicking off the new season at Southend on August 8.
