Nadjim Abdou headed home a 67th-minute minute equaliser to deny Southampton a precious victory and secure Millwall a 1-1 draw at St Mary's.

New Saints boss Alan Pardew saw rookie Scot Matthew Paterson, 19, open the scoring in the 51st minute in Saturday's League One opener with a clinical right-foot finish.
