The left-back limped out of the 3-2 defeat to West Brom in midweek with a groin strain and is set for a spell on the sidelines.

Utility man Charlie Lee could move across to the left to cover, with captain Russell Martin returning at right-back, while manager Darren Ferguson has not ruled out playing winger Tommy Rowe as an attacking full-back.

Krystian Pearce is hopeful of making his league debut for Posh in defence after Ferguson admitted his frustration at the goals conceded against Albion and hinted at making changes.

Winger Chris Whelpdale remains the only other injury concern as he recovers from a hernia operation.
