Ablett rested Owain fon Williams, Danny Pilkington, Greg Tansey and Peter Thompson for Tuesday's 4-1 Johnstone's Paint Trophy win at Crewe.

All four players are in line for a return to the starting line-up as County seek to extend their three-match unbeaten run.

Defender Michael Raynes played no part against Crewe after picking up a hamstring strain in last weekend's 1-1 home draw with Southampton.

He could miss out again but on-loan Reading striker Nicholas Bignall should make his league bow for the Hatters.

Stockport have signed the 19-year-old on loan until January and he made an immediate impact with a goal on his debut at Crewe.

You're Man Utd, For Crying Out Loud!

Defending a 0-0 draw with Cambridge on the grounds that other teams lost to lower-league opposition is not befitting of Man United. We're inclined to agree with Mailboxers...
