Ferrie Bodde could make his long-awaited return from injury in Swansea's Championship clash against Preston at Deepdale on Saturday.

The highly-rated Dutch midfielder has been sidelined with a cruciate knee ligament injury since November last year, but he came through 83 minutes of a reserve game this week and suffered no reaction.

Bodde will return to the squad along with fellow midfielder Joe Allen, who has recovered from a hamstring injury.

New signing Cedric van der Gun is not expected to feature as the former Ajax striker is not yet match fit.

Fellow striker Stephen Dobbie (rib) misses out once again, but Gorka Pintado returns following a one-match ban along with Besian Idrizaj (thigh) and Fede Bessone (groin).

Skipper Garry Monk and defender Angel Rangel serve the second instalments of their two-match suspensions following their dismissals against Scunthorpe in the Carling Cup. Darren Pratley (shoulder) and Thomas Butler (hernia) also miss out.
