The former England Under-21 international arrived at Rangers on loan from Wigan on transfer deadline day and should go straight into the starting line-up.

Skipper Martin Rowlands is likely to return to the squad but Heidar Helguson and Fitz Hall are set to miss out.

Midfielder Rowlands has been sidelined since suffering an ankle injury on the opening day of the season, but he has trained this week and should be available.

But striker Helguson pulled out of Iceland's squad in midweek due to tendinitis in his knee and centre-half Hall suffered a groin tear in training.

Lee Cook (knee) and Angelo Balanta (groin) will also miss out.
