The Dutchman, who signed on a free transfer earlier this month, featured off the bench in last week's defeat at Sunderland.

Midfielder Dean Marney is back in contention for the first time since suffering a knee injury on the opening day of the season but defender Anthony Gardner (knee) is still sidelined.

Steven Mouyokolo (hamstring) has also been ruled out but the club are encouraged by the progress of Jimmy Bullard in his recovery from knee surgery. The record signing could be back in contention within weeks.
