Midfielder Oster was shown a straight red card for an off-the-ball incident involving Scunthorpe's Grant McCann on Saturday while Fortune, making his full debut in a midfield anchor role, was dismissed for a reckless challenge on Cliff Byrne.

John Spicer and Byron Webster will both come into the reckoning.

Waide Fairhurst will be hoping for a recall alongside Billy Sharp after a goal in each of his last two games while James Coppinger returned on Saturday following an ankle injury.

Striker James Hayter has missed out due to a groin injury in recent weeks, while skipper Brian Stock is recovering from surgery to resolve an ankle problem.
