Clarke missed the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash due to a one-game ban and manager Lee Clark must decide whether to recall him to the starting line-up or retain Andy Butler alongside Nathan Clarke.

Defender Lee Peltier, on-loan midfielder Danny Drinkwater and striker Theo Robinson all sat out the penalty shootout defeat at Chesterfield on Tuesday night, but are all back in contention as Town chase their first win in seven matches.

Striker Robbie Simpson was also sidelined due to illness, but has recovered and gives Clark another option up front.

Town are currently 12 points behind leaders Leeds in ninth place and will know they cannot afford to fall too much further behind the play-off places if they are to launch a promotion challenge this season.
