Clichy (ankle) and Bendtner (groin) miss the encounter with Blues at the Emirates Stadium, but Almunia should return from a virus and will take over the goalkeeping gloves from Vito Mannone.

Mexico striker Carlos Vela is on his way back from Central America and so will not be included.

Reserve keeper Lukasz Fabianski is close to a return following knee surgery, but winger Samir Nasri (broken leg), Croatia striker Eduardo (thigh) and Denilson (back) remain sidelined.

Gunners (from): Almunia, Gibbs, Gallas, Vermaelen, Sagna, Rosicky, Fabregas, Song, Arshavin, Walcott, van Persie, Mannone, Eboue, Diaby, Wilshere, Ramsey, Senderos, Silvestre.
