McNulty will be sidelined for a month after suffering ankle ligament damage at Tranmere last week and Wright turned his ankle in training on Tuesday, so Slade will turn to the versatile Adam El-Abd to fill the breach.

Glenn Murray is suspended following his red card last weekend but fellow striker Nicky Forster is back after a hamstring tweak and will come in alongside Liam Dickinson or Gary Hart.

Midfielder Gary Dicker has shaken off a hip problem and defenders Andrew Whing (hernia) and Colin Hawkins (heel) are also back in training, although both are short of match fitness.
