Midfielder Boshell completed a two-match ban as Town lost a fourth straight league game at home to Rochdale last weekend - the 2-0 defeat spelling the end of Newell's managerial reign.

Youth team manager Neil Woods has been appointed as caretaker boss but he will be unable to call upon captain Ryan Bennett as the defender has completed a three-month loan switch to Championship club Peterborough.

Woods will also be without a trio of strikers as Nathan Jarman (foot) and Adam Proudlock (ankle) remain sidelined through injury, while Barry Conlon serves the final game of his four-match suspension.
