MacDonald was absent from the squad which travelled to Gateshead in the FA Cup last week as his wife is due to give birth, and although the child has yet to be born he is set to declare himself available for a home game.

Fellow forward Steve Kabba is over an illness but has fallen out of favour lately and is unlikely to figure, especially with Ben Strevens fit again following his broken leg.

Lewis Price starts in goal once more after Nikki Bull was this week ruled out for up to four months following a shoulder operation.

Centre-half Mark Phillips remains a doubtful starter with an ankle injury so Alan Bennett, who was dropped recently, should retain his place.
