The Addicks were determined to put their recent disappointments behind them - having been knocked out of the FA Cup by non-League Northwich.

But Dons striker Aaron Wilbraham opened the scoring in the ninth minute against the run of play and would have doubled his tally had Sam Sodje not cleared off the goalline.

The Dons' lead lasted just four minutes, thanks to David Mooney, who belted the ball home from a goalmouth scramble and the Addicks went ahead a couple of minutes later when an unmarked Nicky Bailey nodded home Lloyd Sam's cross.

Sam added a third after the hour-mark by beating David McCracken to shoot home from 15 yards and Sodje made it a stroll for the Addicks when he turned in Bailey's cross, before Deon Burton slammed home a fifth.

The Dons' frustrations boiled over in injury time when Jason Puncheon's rash slide on Bailey sparked a 20-man brawl.
