Boss Jim Magilton swooped for Blackburn midfielder Reid after serious knee injuries accounted for Martin Rowlands and Gavin Mahon, while Peterborough's Williams will provide competition for Gary Borrowdale at left-back and Taylor has come in from Chelsea.

Borrowdale is fit after missing the 2-1 win at Sheffield Wednesday a fortnight ago through illness while fellow defender Damion Stewart also returns after an ankle knock.

But centre-half Fitz Hall suffered a back injury at Hillsbrough and misses out.

Strikers Rowan Vine (hernia) and Angelo Balanta (groin) are back in light training but will not be risked while Alessandro Pellicori and Lee Cook (both knee) are still out.

Veteran midfielder Gareth Ainsworth has joined Wycombe on loan while goalkeeper Tom Heaton's three-month deal at Loftus Road has come to an end.
