Goalkeeper set for Addicks return

Phil Parkinson will be able to call on goalkeeper Rob Elliot when Charlton travel to the South Coast to face Brighton in League One on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old stopper has been out since the end of October with a groin injury but has now recovered and will go straight into the starting XI after Carl Ikeme's loan deal ended last week.

Right-back Frazer Richardson has been struggling with a hamstring strain in recent weeks and will miss out once again, but Parkinson has hinted that the former Leeds man is close to a return.

Defender Kelly Youga picked up an injury in the win over Bristol Rovers last time out and is rated at just 50-50 to make the Withdean clash.

Charlton go into the game at the Withdean Stadium on the back of a blank weekend after their first round FA Cup exit at the hands of Northwich, while Brighton were pushed all the way on Saturday before beating Rushden & Diamonds in the last minute.
