Grounds came on as a late substitute in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Swansea after Chris Riggott picked up a hamstring injury.

Manager Gordon Strachan told the club's official website: "It will be a couple of days before we know the extent of Chris' injury but hopefully it's just a strain. Groundsy will come back in and hopefully he's ready for the challenge."

Striker Jonathan Franks missed Saturday's game after being taken into hospital with suspected appendicitis, but he was released without an operation and will be available.

Gary O'Neil and Tony McMahon are expected to shake off minor knocks but Isaiah Osbourne is likely to miss out again.
