The club have revealed one player has received an injection and is rated as 50/50 for Tuesday night's Championship clash at The City Ground while the other is seeing a specialist to determine whether the injury could be worsened should he play.

Blackwell has a number of other injury problems to contend with as defender Chris Morgan is around 10 days away from a return following a rib injury while fellow centre-back Marcel Seip (hamstring) is also out.

Midfielder James Harper is sidelined with an ankle injury and goalkeeper Mark Bunn is absent with a broken hand leaving Ian Bennett to continue in goal.

However, defender Andrew Taylor has now fully recovered from a hamstring injury and should be named in the squad having missed the past five league outings.
