The former Fulham centre-half has been sidelined since picking up a groin injury on Boxing Day but came through an hour of a reserve game with Watford in midweek and could come into Jim Gannon's side at the Liberty Stadium.

Fellow central defender Ryan Bennett picked up an ankle injury before last weekend's postponed fixture with Sheffield United and the club-record signing may be out for as long as a month.

Another option - Exodus Geohaghon - injured his foot in the reserve fixture so Zakuani will be needed as Gannon looks for a miraculous first away win of the season at fourth-placed Swansea.

Reuben Reid should start after he changed the game as a substitute against Ipswich 10 days ago so Craig Mackail-Smith will be on the bench.
