Stewart was ruled out of last Saturday's disappointing 1-0 home defeat to basement side Stockport with a hamstring injury he picked up in the recent loss at Millwall.

But the veteran has been back in training for the past week and said: "I am fine and will be fit for the weekend."

Stewart's return will be a big boost for Tisdale, who is without the services of fellow forwards Barry Corr and Adam Stansfield.

Corr is currently serving a five-match ban after picking up three red cards this season, while Stansfield is sidelined with a knee injury.

City slipped to third from bottom in League One following the postponement of Tuesday's West Country derby at home to Bristol Rovers.
