Gary Roberts rescued a point for Huddersfield with a brilliant finish late on to preserve Town's unbeaten home record in a 2-2 draw with Leeds.

Roberts instantly controlled a high ball into the box and then sidefooted past United goalkeeper Casper Ankergren after 85 minutes to draw his side level.

Huddersfield took the lead in the 13th minute through Anthony Pilkington's deflected shot and they fluffed a great chance to make it 2-0 just before the break when Jordan Rhodes blazed over the bar from close range.

Leeds were outplayed in the first half but got on top in midfield after the break and looked set to record their first win at Huddersfield since 1963 with two goals in the space of five minutes.

Winger Robert Snodgrass twice did the damage with devastating crosses to set up close-range headers in the 61st and 66th minutes. Jonny Howson's glancing header through a crowd of players on the line brought Leeds level and then Luciano Becchio's final touch on Richard Naylor's flick-on put Leeds ahead.

But Roberts had the final say and the two sides shared a 2-2 draw for the second time this term.
