The midfielder was rested for Saturday's goalless draw at Sheffield Wednesday, with Michael Tonge moving into the centre of midfield to partner Paul Green and Gilles Sunu starting on the right.

Whether Clough starts with the same side or recall the experienced Savage as the Rams continue their battle to avoid relegation remains to be seen.

Stephen Bywater will start in goal once again after returning at Hillsborough following a back problem.

Steve Davies (hamstring) was on the bench at the weekend but Rob Hulse and Chris Porter are likely to continue in attack.

Fit-again trio Gary Teale, Lee Croft and Lee Hendrie will be hoping for a recall to the squad, while Kris Commons (hamstring) is targeting a return for the clash with Ipswich on Easter Monday. Miles Addison (foot) is a long-term absentee.
