Monk returned from a calf injury against West Brom and despite missing the last two games, he could be fit to return as the Swans look to get back on track following the 5-1 defeat at Blackpool on Tuesday.

Midfielder Andrea Orlandi came on as a second-half substitute in midweek following a hamstring injury and is pushing for a place in Paulo Sousa's starting line-up.

Fellow midfielder Joe Allen (knee) is back in training and could be named in the matchday squad.

However Albert Serran (hamstring), Ferrie Bodde (calf) and Federico Bessone (knee) all remain on the sidelines.

On-loan Burnley defender David Edgar was an unused substitute at Bloomfield Road but could make his debut for the Swans.
