The Scot missed both matches over the Easter weekend due to tonsilitis, but was back in full training this week and could be recalled to the starting line-up after Sean O'Driscoll's side stumbled to two successive defeats.

Leading goalscorer Billy Sharp remains sidelined with the torn thigh muscle he sustained in the recent win at South Yorkshire rivals Barnsley, so Paul Heffernan, a surprise recall after his return from a loan spell at Bristol Rovers, could continue alongside James Hayter.

Another loanee, Wolves central defender Jason Shackell, is hoping to play again this season after a groin problem, but is not yet ready, while skipper Brian Stock has also refused to give up on another first-team appearance as he recovers from back surgery.

O'Driscoll has no other new injury or suspension problems as his side chase only their second league win in six matches.
