The striker was substituted during the 3-0 win over Southend and is now rated 50/50 to play at The Den due to a hip flexor injury.
Top scorer Simeon Jackson will again start, though, after returning from a hamstring injury in Monday's game with the Shrimpers but Simon King is not likely to play again this season after damaging ankle ligaments.
The Gills are just outside the relegation zone and Stimson is hoping to move further away from the pack with a win.
"It is a big difference to playing Southend because they are fighting for an automatic promotion place but it is a game we will look forward too," he said.
"We would love to get a win because our away form has been poor this season. We are looking to turn it around in every game and this one will be no different."
