The Irishman has missed the last three games with a thigh injury although Lambert is hopeful he will return before the end of the season.

But the Canaries will again be without 30-goal leading scorer Grant Holt, who completes a two-match ban.

City have seen their lead at the top cut to six points with four matches left following a run of just one win in four games but Lambert played down suggestions they were feeling the pressure.

Indeed, he has backed his players to produce a positive reaction to Tuesday's loss at Leyton Orient.

Lambert told the club's official website: "I had a chat with the lads. Because the standard you set yourself when you fall below it, it hurts everybody and I spoke to them and they were great. They know. But everybody in the league would want to be where Norwich is."
