The on-loan Millwall man has missed the last two games due to a hamstring strain and will have to prove his fitness if he is to earn a place in the squad.

David Raven will be hoping to retain his place in the side after making his first start in six months in last weekend's 2-1 home defeat by Oldham.

Danny Livesey (hamstring) was an unused substitute in that clash and is again available for selection, but it remains to be seen whether or not Peter Murphy, who last featured against the Saints, will recover from a knock in time to feature.

Kevan Hurst (knee), Joe Anyinsah (double hernia) and Andy Cook (foot) remain sidelined.

The Cumbrians were thumped 4-1 at Wembley when the two sides last met as the Saints clinched the Johnstone's Paint Trophy last month.
