The defender spent Tuesday and Wednesday north of the border before coming back to the Midlands on Thursday to train with his team-mates ahead of the clash.

Weston started last weekend's 3-1 home win over Hartlepool and is again likely to start at Brunton Park, but he will face competition from the returning Darryl Westlake, who missed out seven days ago due to an ankle injury.

Captain and fellow defender Mark Hughes also returns having completed a two-match suspension.

But midfielder Dwayne Mattis (Achilles) and striker Darren Byfield (knee) continue to miss out, suggesting their seasons may be over with just one further game remaining at home to MK Dons.
