Bird has missed the last two games due to the calf injury he picked up against Rotherham and will again be missing at Meadow Lane when County will be presented with the League Two trophy.

Town's position could not be much more different to that of their East Midlands opponents although with a six-point advantage and 13-goal swing in their favour over second-bottom Grimsby, it does appear to be a case of when and not if safety is secured.

Defender Michael Townsend (ankle) and winger Josh Low (leg) recovered to start last weekend's last-gasp 2-1 defeat at home to Aldershot and will be involved once again.

Centre-back Shane Duff missed out due to sore calves and is again a doubt.
