The midfielder has been struggling with a recurrence of an Achilles problem and manager Chris Hutchings will not risk his involvement, instead preferring to see the injury fully heal before the start of next season.

Walsall have this week parted company with defender Rhys Weston and striker Sam Parkin by mutual consent, meaning the duo will play no part at the Banks's Stadium.

Veteran goalkeeper Clayton Ince will also be making the last appearance of his career before retiring to return back to Trinidad and Tobago, ending his 25-year professional career.

Striker Darren Byfield made a surprise comeback from his knee injury to start last weekend's 1-1 draw at Carlisle, netting the opener after just two minutes, and he should again be involved.
