Wantaway centre-back Lescott, the subject of two bids from Manchester City, has been axed from the squad by David Moyes ahead of Thursday's match because of the manager's disappointment with his attitude.

With Phil Jagielka still injured, Moyes now has a problem in central defence, and either Neville or Rodwell will play.
