The veteran striker missed Tuesday night's defeat at Norwich with a knee injury but resumed training on Thursday morning.

Forster is set to go straight back into the starting line-up with fellow forward Glenn Murray suspended after being booked for the fifth time this season at Carrow Road.

Graeme Smith keeps his place in goal with Michel Kuipers still missing, although the Dutchman is in light training after a groin injury.

Boss Gus Poyet is planning changes following the midweek 4-1 reverse.

Left-back Jim McNulty could make the bench after an ankle injury but centre-half Colin Hawkins is still on the sidelines with an Achilles problem.
