Ward, who has made over 150 appearances for the Lions, played 10 times since returning to the club on loan at the start of the season.

Jackett will also welcome back Alan Dunne after suspension after the midfielder was booked in the recent defeat at Norwich and sat out Monday's 2-0 win over Bristol Rovers but is set to return to the starting line-up.

Scott Barron is pushing Jack Smith for a place in defence after recovering from an ankle problem while striker Danny Schofield will be hoping for a return.

Jackett will continue to be without Neil Harris, who is suffering from a back problem, and Gary Alexander (heel).

A number of players including Steve Morison, Ali Fuseini and Paul Robinson are all on four bookings but due to the new ruling which brings the 'amnesty' forward from February to the end of 2009, they will not receive a suspension should they receive a fifth.
