Inconsistency has dogged the Saddlers' season to date and the euphoria of last Tuesday's 1-0 win at Bristol Rovers was soon replaced by disappointment as the midlands outfit sunk to a 1-0 defeat at struggling Oldham on Saturday.

New signing Julian Gray started on the bench at Boundary Park but may get the nod from the off this time around while Darren Byfield could also come back in up front.

Captain Mark Hughes is now fully fit despite only featuring on the bench against the Latics, while fellow centre-back Manny Smith is also hoping for a recall.

Steve Jones (groin) continues to step up his recovery but is not ready to be considered for the trip to Elland Road, while right-back Rhys Weston (hamstring) and striker Sam Parkin (groin) both remain out.
