Davies had to be taken off on a stretcher after the controversial challenge from William Gallas during Wanderers' 4-2 defeat at Arsenal and it is not yet known how long he will be sidelined for.

Ricardo Gardner (groin) and Gavin McCann (ankle) will also miss out, while Danny Shittu is still with Nigeria at the African Nations Cup.
