Cotterill: Could miss out against Hornets

Cotterill: Could miss out against Hornets

The 22-year-old winger missed Saturday's controversial defeat at Nottingham Forest with a hamstring injury and he again remains a doubt although he will travel with the squad to Vicarage Road.

Cedric van der Gun appeared as a second-half substitute at the City Ground after a troublesome hamstring injury of his own and the Dutchman will be pushing for a start.

The Swans' lengthy injury list does not make pretty reading for boss Paulo Sousa as he continues to be without a plethora of first-team players.

Garry Monk (calf), Joe Allen (knee), Andrea Orlandi (hamstring), Jordi Lopez (ankle), Albert Serran (hamstring), Fede Bessone (calf) and Ferrie Bodde (knee) all remain sidelined and are unlikely to return in the near future, while Gorka Pintado serves the third instalment of his four-match suspension.

The Swans will be hoping to bounce back from their first defeat in 13 games at the weekend by claiming all three points and closing to within four points of third-placed West Brom.
