Morrison: Could return

Morrison: Could return

Morrison stepped up his recovery from a heel injury by playing an hour of Monday's behind-closed-doors friendly against Wrexham and has been added to Roberto Di Matteo's squad.

New signing Ben Watson will not feature as he is cup-tied along with Frank Nouble, while Jerome Thomas is still suspended.

Marek Cech returns to the squad after three weeks out with a hamstring injury, but Giles Barnes is unlikely to be considered to make his debut as he continues his recovery from an Achilles problem.

Roman Bednar is expected to retain his place after recovering from a back problem to play the full 90 minutes of Sunday's 2-1 defeat at Bristol City.

Abdoulaye Meite was an unused substitute in that clash following his recovery from an ankle injury and is again available, but Gonzalo Jara (metatarsal) and Ishmael Miller (ankle) remain sidelined.
