Shawcross has been out with an ankle injury and boss Tony Pulis has confirmed he will be in the party to take on Premier League title chasers Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, but is unlikely to be in the starting line-up.

Stoke's only serious injury worry is striker Mamady Sidibe, who is still fighting to recover from a groin problem that forced him to miss last weekend's home defeat by Bolton.

Sunday's match kicks off at 4pm.

Stoke (from): Sorensen, Huth, Abdoulaye Faye, Collins, Lawrence, Whelan, Whitehead, Delap, Etherington, Kitson, Fuller, Tuncay, Pugh, Wilkinson, Moult, Amdy Faye, Begovic, Beattie, Sidibe.
