The Londoners took an early lead through Heider Helguson's diving header, but Torquay levelled on the hour-mark when Chris Robertson headed home Lathaniel Rowe-Turner's cross.

Rangers then stepped up a gear and young Josh Parker put them back in front with his third goal in as many matches with a rising drive in the 72nd minute before Hogan Ephraim grabbed his fifth goal in three matches with a low shot into the bottom corner after a fine run.
