Colback: In line for his second Ipswich debut

Watford will be missing winger Don Cowie, who lasted just 23 minutes of the 3-2 defeat at Portsmouth at the weekend before coming off with a knee injury.

He was replaced by Stephen McGinn at Fratton Park and he is in the driving seat to start after scoring, although Michael Bryan also impressed after coming on and is another option for manager Malky Mackay.

Midfielder Ross Jenkins missed the trip south with an ankle injury which could sideline him again while reserve goalkeeper Rene Gilmartin is fit again after a minor thigh injury.

Jack Colback is in line for his second Ipswich debut.

Colback was on loan from Sunderland last season - scoring at Vicarage Road - and could be back in the side again after rejoining late last week.

Fellow loanee, Celtic defender Darren O'Dea, is absent after he had knee surgery on a problem that has dogged him since September. He now faces six weeks on the sidelines.

However Shane O'Connor (hamstring), Damien Delaney and Luciano Civelli (both knee) are all back in contention after using the international break to get back to full fitness.

Keane could make changes following the disappointing 2-1 home defeat to Coventry on Saturday, with David Norris, Connor Wickham and Tamas Priskin all hoping to return.

Keane has revealed he was always confident of luring Colback back, saying: "We have been talking to Jack and his agent for a while and we are delighted to have got him back to the club.

"It was always going to be too late for him to be involved against Coventry at the weekend but he will be involved from now on.

"He knows the club, the staff and the players and that will help. He had a few options but I was always confident he would come back here.

"He is a good player who can play in a number of positions and I am sure the supporters are happy to see him back."
