Fallon: Could return for Pilgrims

Plymouth manager Peter Reid is expected to make changes for the visit of Huddersfield.

Reid is likely to freshen up his starting line-up after the Pilgrims disappointing start to the season, with New Zealand international Rory Fallon pushing for a recall.

Fallon came off the bench against Notts County and played in Argyle's reserve game during the week in order to prove his fitness and Reid could be tempted to start with this star striker against the Terriers.

Rory Patterson also featured for the reserves in midweek and is pushing for a start, as is youngster Yann Bolasie with Chris Clark likely to make way.

Goalkeeper David Button should return to the squad after recovering from an injury picked up in the 1-1 draw with Colchester.

Huddersfield will be without in-form midfielder Damien Johnson for their trip to face the Pilgrims.

Johnson, a virtual ever-present for Town since arriving on loan from Plymouth in the summer, is not eligible to play against his parent club.

But winger Lee Croft will return to contention after missing last week's win over Southampton due to a one-game ban.

Manager Lee Clark is hoping injury doubts Anthony Pilkington (hamstring) and Lee Peltier (calf) will be passed fit after both players were withdrawn from last weekend's win over Southampton.

But goalkeeper Alex Smithies (thigh), winger Gary Roberts (broken arm) along with defenders Gary Naysmith (foot) and Tom Clarke (knee) remain sidelined as the Terriers chase a third successive league win.
