Nosworthy: Set to face Tractor Boys

Sheffield United are short on central defenders after skipper Chris Morgan was ruled out for the season.

Morgan will undergo surgery next week to repair the ACL and cruciate knee ligaments he ruptured in last week's home defeat to Coventry.

Manager Gary Speed, hoping to draft in Ritchie De Laet as cover from Manchester United for a second loan spell in time, is likely to play Nyron Nosworthy alongside Kyle Bartley at the heart of defence as Stephen Jordan has been struggling with a hamstring problem.

Matt Lowton provides Speed with alternative options across the back line.

Speed could be tempted to hand Andy Reid, on loan from Sunderland, his first start in midfield while Nick Montgomery is back in contention following an Achilles injury.

Ipswich boss Roy Keane is waiting on the fitness of midfielder David Norris.

Keane saw his side return to winning ways in the league last weekend with a comfortable 2-0 defeat of Millwall and the former Manchester United captain may be tempted to keep faith with the same XI if Norris shakes off a knock to play.

Jason Scotland scored his fifth goal of the season in that win and will continue up front alongside Tamas Priskin - who had his best game for the club last weekend.

Connor Wickham will again be on the bench after the 17-year-old made a quicker-than-expected recovery from an ankle injury to feature last time out.

Defenders Mark Kennedy (hamstring) and Darren O'Dea (knee) remain sidelined, with the latter out for around six weeks.
