Leacock: Serving one-match ban

Ipswich manager Roy Keane is waiting on the fitness of a number of players.

Captain David Norris missed the 2-1 win at Sheffield United on Saturday with an ankle injury which will again sideline him and Grant Leadbitter - who took the armband at Bramall Lane - picked up a knock against the Blades.

Right-back Tom Eastman also took a kick but Keane is hopeful the duo will be fit to face the Rams.

Defenders Darren O'Dea (knee) and Mark Kennedy (hamstring) have both been out in recent weeks but Keane revealed at the weekend that they had a chance of being involved at Portman Road.

Midfielder Colin Healy is recovering from a hamstring and then groin injury but would not have been involved anyway.

Town are level on points with Nigel Clough's side and could go into fourth with a home win.

Derby defender Dean Leacock is suspended for the trip to Ipswich.

Leacock serves a one-match ban after collecting his fifth yellow card of the season during the home victory over Portsmouth.

Miles Addison will be in the Rams squad again after his first taste of action in 10 months against Pompey but it remains to be seen whether he will replace Leacock at Portman Road, despite the continued absence of fellow centre-halves Russell Anderson (hamstring) and Jake Buxton (groin).

Addison underwent surgery on a foot in March and was initially told he could miss the entire season. However, he has made an earlier than expected recovery and appeared as a late substitute on Saturday.

Strikers Alberto Bueno (ankle and Achilles) and Luke Moore (hamstring) remain sidelined. The pair missed out against Portsmouth and are not fit enough to travel.

However, it is hoped that both players will be back in contention for the trip to Midlands rivals Leicester at the weekend.
