Clingan: Has a knee injury

Crystal Palace will check on Darren Ambrose and Adam Barrett.

Midfielder Ambrose was on the scoresheet in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Watford but took a knock to the same knee which kept him sidelined for more than two months earlier this season.

Boss George Burley says the injury is not serious but Ambrose will be given a late fitness test along with defender Barrett, who came off with slight concussion against the Hornets.

Anthony Gardner is still struggling with a groin problem so if Barrett misses out Claude Davis, who has been shown three red cards in his last 13 appearances, could return to the starting line-up.

Sean Scannell and Lee Hills remain sidelined with knee injuries.

Coventry manager Aidy Boothroyd has received mixed injury news.

Midfielder Sammy Clingan was forced off with a knee injury in the 70th minute of Tuesday's 2-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest and has subsequently been ruled out for three or four weeks.

But Clive Platt returns to the fold having missed out at the City Ground due to the calf strain sustained in the first half of last weekend's 3-2 defeat to Leeds.

Returning centre-back James McPake was substituted an hour into his comeback against Forest complaining of a sore back while also lacking match fitness, but he is also expected to be okay and will compete with youngster Nathan Cameron to partner Richard Wood at the heart of defence.

Their opportunity comes as the impressive Ben Turner, who has been City's stand-out performer of the campaign to date, continues his four-six week spell on the sidelines with the knee injury he sustained against Leeds.
