Millwall top scorer Steve Morison returns for the visit of the Blades.
The eight-goal striker missed Tuesday night's 1-1 draw against Norwich through suspension after collecting five yellow cards this season.
Boss Kenny Jackett was short of numbers up front in midweek with Kevin Lisbie, Theo Robinson, Shaun Batt and Neil Harris also unavailable.
Lisbie will be out for a fortnight with knee ligament damage, Robinson requires knee surgery and Batt is a long-term casualty with a cruciate injury.
But veteran frontman Harris could return after a back problem while teenager John Marquis, who scored against Norwich, is set to keep his place.
Jackett is also scouring the loan market for potential attacking reinforcements.
Sheffield United are still without Jamie Ward for the clash at Millwall with the striker set to be sidelined for up to a month due to an ankle injury.
Ward missed the midweek draw at Leicester after sustaining the injury in last weekend's home defeat to Ipswich.
Manager Gary Speed, who has no new injury or suspension problems and will be selecting from an unchanged squad, may make some changes after hinting that three games in the space of seven days could prove too much for some of his players.
Andy Reid made his first full appearance for the Blades in Wednesday night's 2-2 draw at Leicester and is expected to retain his place in the starting line-up, while Daniel Bogdanovic, Jonny Ertl, Jean Calve and Ched Evans will be hoping to return after being named among the substitutes at Leicester.
