Chadwick: Suspended for Dons

Huddersfield manager Lee Clark could be tempted to make changes for his side's home midweek clash with MK Dons.

Clark has no new injury or suspension problems, but Town slipped to their second home league defeat of the season against Exeter on Saturday and he may want to shake-up things up.

Goalkeeper Alex Smithies is pushing for a return to the starting line-up after a thigh injury, while Alan Lee, Joe Garner, Lee Croft and teenager Benik Afobe were all named on the substitutes' bench on Saturday and could win recalls.

Striker Lee Novak (hamstring), midfielder Tom Clarke (knee) and defender Gary Naysmith (foot) remain long-term absentees.

Huddersfield, who have lost four of their last eight league encounters, will be hoping to bounce straight back into the top six with victory.

MK Dons midfielder Luke Chadwick will miss the trip to Huddersfield.

The former Norwich man was shown his fifth booking of the season during the 4-1 defeat at the hands of Sheffield Wednesday so must sit out a one-match ban.

Striker Sam Baldock was replaced after just half an hour of that loss after taking a knock to his ankle and he will be given a late fitness test.

Jermaine Easter remains out as he recuperates from his thigh strain while on-loan QPR forward Angelo Balanta is out with an ankle injury.

However fellow attacker Aaron Wilbraham made his comeback from a back injury as a late substitute and could return to the starting line-up.

Defender Jude Stirling is still not back in training as he recovers from a long-term groin injury.
