Preston boss Darren Ferguson has bolstered his rock-bottom side with the acquisition of two new signings.

North End have signed defender Leon Cort from Burnley on an emergency loan until December 31.

Ferguson has also brought rookie Manchester United striker Joshua King back to Deepdale on a youth loan until January 4.

King's previous loan spell was cut short after suffering an ankle injury and he could miss out this weekend as he is yet to regain full fitness.

Skipper Callum Davidson and Scotland U21 international Paul Coutts remain sidelined by injury but midfielder Barry Nicholson is expected to return to the squad after missing out with illness last week.

In a further boost, winger Keith Treacy is available again after suspension.

Millwall will add new signing Josh McQuoid to their squad.

The 12-goal striker, who hit two hat-tricks in a week earlier this month, has arrived on loan from Bournemouth and will complete a permanent switch in January for a fee believed to be around £500,000.

Fellow frontman Kevin Lisbie (knee) and wingers Chris Hackett (hip) and Danny Schofield (thigh) remain doubtful.

But Scott Barron returns from a suspension and is set to replace Tony Craig at left-back.

Jason Puncheon scored on his debut in last weekend's win at Middlesbrough after joining on loan from Southampton and will keep his place on the wing.

Youngsters Pat O'Connor and Kiernan Hughes-Mason have this week joined non-league clubs on loan.
