Bednar: Shaken off a knock

Bednar: Shaken off a knock

Leicester will have Roman Bednar available against Rovers.

The on-loan West Brom striker suffered a knock during the defeat at Watford and had to be substituted but he has now recovered.

Midfielder Miguel Vitor will be pushing for a recall after recovering from a thigh injury.

On-loan goalkeeper Chris Kirkland has declared himself fit after receiving treatment for a back problem at parent club Wigan but manager Sven-Goran Eriksson is unsure whether to include him in the squad.

Long-term absentee Aleksandar Tunchev has stepped up his training this week and the Bulgarian defender is edging closer to a return.

"Tunchev has done a lot of work in the gym but we will see. He has to train on the pitch soon before we consider a reserve game and take it from there," said Eriksson.

Doncaster manager Sean O'Driscoll is likely to be without Mustapha Dumbuya for the trip.

The defender is still struggling with a knee injury and is unlikely to play at the Walkers.

Striker David Healy, who has recently extended his loan from Sunderland by another month, should keep his place up front after impressing in recent weeks while O'Driscoll will have to decide whether to start James Hayter or fit-again Billy Sharp along side the Northern Ireland international.

Rovers have been given a boost after Martin Woods returned to training following a month out with a troublesome groin problem but the midfielder is still some way off being fully fit.

George Friend (leg) and Simon Gillett (knee) have started their rehabilitation from their respected injuries and are a month away from full training while James Chambers, who hasn't featured this season due to a knee injury, is still a couple of weeks away from a comeback.
