Sheffield United's caretaker manager John Carver will be boosted by the return of striker Daniel Bogdanovic for the clash.

Bogdanovic has completed a three-game ban and will be in contention for a return to the starting line-up.

Otherwise, Carver and assistant Sam Ellis will be selecting from an unchanged squad and are unlikely to make any unforced changes following last week's home win over Swansea.

Midfielder Lee Williamson returned to the bench last week following a back injury and provides another option, while goalkeeper Richard Wright missed out against Swansea due to a thigh problem.

Jamie Ward has shaken off a virus and is pushing for a starting place after stepping off the bench last week, but fellow forward Richard Cresswell sits out the last game of his three-match suspension and defender Chris Morgan (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

Jimmy Bullard is hoping to return to Hull's squad for the game.

The Tigers midfielder has been sidelined since early October with knee ligament damage, but manager Nigel Pearson revealed earlier this week that the 32-year-old was expected to be in contention.

Pearson could also be boosted by the return of midfielder Nick Barmby (leg infection), winger Richard Garcia (knee) and striker Mark Cullen (ankle), who all missed out last week but have since rejoined the first-team squad for training.

But the Tigers will definitely be without left-back Andy Dawson, an ever-present this season, who will sit out a one-game ban after reaching five yellow cards.

Kevin Kilbane could step in for Dawson as Hull look to extend their unbeaten league run to seven matches.
